Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully and keep a copy of them for your reference.
The placing of an order shall include acceptance of the following terms and conditions. Only our terms shall apply; no terms, conditions or reservations stipulated by the Client and no course of dealing shall annul, vary or add to any of these conditions unless expressly consented to by Nice SpA in writing.

To place an order you can create an account online  or proceed in “guest mode”.
Creating an account online is free and you will be able to do the following:

  • proceed through checkout faster when making a purchase;
  • check the status of orders;
  • easy access to you order history;
  • receive our Newsletter.

No order will be valid if you do not complete all the required fields on the forms of the checkout procedure.
In case of mistake during ordering or if an error occurs, you can call us at 01623 444777 (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm) and we will rectify the problem as soon as possible.
On receipt of the order, we will verify the availability of the product(s) ordered.
If the products are not available we will notify you about it and we will commit to completing each order within 30 days.
Ordering and purchasing products on Freedhom.com is the same as signing an electronic contract with us and it constitutes irrevocable acceptance that cannot be revoked except in line with the limitations of these terms and conditions of sale. This electronic signature has the same value to both parties as a written signature.

Prices are believed to be correct at time of going to website but may vary without notice. Goods will be invoiced at the price ruling at the date of dispatch and we reserve the right to amend any errors or omissions.
Prices are given in GBP (£), inclusive of:

  • Value Added Tax (at the current standard rate of 22%) where applicable;
  • Delivery Charge.

Payment can be made by:

  • Credit Card. The payment will be made using secure bank servers belonging to our partner Banca Sella. The data contained on your credit card are encrypted using the SSL protocol  (Secure Socket Layer) and will never be visible unencrypted on the network. Payment is made directly to the bank. Freedhom has never access to these data. For this reason, the information will be requested each time you complete a new transaction on our site.  Your order will be registered and validated as soon as payment is accepted by the bank. If the transaction is not validated by the bank, for whatever technical or banking reason, the order will be cancelled automatically.
    Freedhom accepts the following credit cards: American Express, Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard and Maestro.
  • PayPal. Selecting PayPal as your chosen payment method, you will be redirected to your PayPal account where you will see all your order details and be asked to confirm payment. On confirming payment you will then be presented with your order confirmation page on our website. You will receive an e-mail from us confirming your order along with a further e-mail from PayPal confirming your payment.

You are entitled to a full refund if the goods are not provided within 30 days.

The time period indicated for the delivery start from the moment at which the package leaves our warehouse. Orders received before 2pm  are normally sent out the same working day (Monday to Friday excluding holiday periods). If an item is out of stock or no longer available you will be notified. Average delivery times:
1-3 days for the UK Mainland, depending on the availability of the products in the warehouse
3-5 days for Highlands of Scotland
NOTE: our deliveries are normally made by Tuffnells Parcels Express Limited and a signature is always required due to the high value of our goods. You must examine the goods on receipt of delivery before signing any consignment note. All deliveries will be considered as received in good condition unless you specifically sign as “damaged”, etc. “Unchecked” will not be accepted as a valid status. Your signature on the delivery receipt is your acceptance of the goods arriving in good condition unless they are signed for as damaged. If there is nobody available to receive your delivery at your stated delivery address, the courier company will usually leave a card for you to organize collection from your local depot.
All goods are packed to ensure safe carriage, and we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage in transit.
Complaints of loss or damage must be notified to the carriers and Freedhom within 3 working days of the date of delivery by e-mail at support@freedhom.com or by phone 01623 444777 (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm).

We warrant to you that the supplied goods will be free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use for a period of 12 months from the date that the goods were first purchased by you. If a defect arises and a valid claim under this Limited Warranty is received by Nice SpA after the first 6 months of the warranty period, we are entitled to charge you for any reasonable shipping costs made in connection with the repair or replacement of the goods.
Out of warranty repairs will be subject to charges which cover the labour, replacement components and carriage. Where we deem a repair to be uneconomical, we will contact you for a decision on our course of action.
The products sold are guaranteed against any defect of manufacturing, fault except:

  • The substitution of expendable goods (eg. batteries);
  • Any defects and their consequences resulting from repair unauthorized by the manufacturer, defects and their consequences related to any use of the product not in line with the intended use of the product;
  • Defects and their consequences related to any external cause, in particular misuse, moisture, liquids, proximity or exposure to heat and accident, abuse, non-compliance with the installation and/or usage instructions supplied with the goods, neglect or misapplication;
  • Any disfigurement, removal, tampering of any labels attached to the product;
  • Physical damage to the surface of the product or calibration of the product.
If a warranted item is sent for testing and has no faults, then a labour change may be applied.

Returns & Cancellations
You have the right to cancel your order and return the item purchased on this website within 7 working days of receiving it. During this “cooling off” period the order can be cancelled and the item can be returned for any reason and with a full refund made.
Moreover we offer a refund on all goods returned to us within 30 days from the dispatch of your order provided you return the items using our Return Form , they are in the original packaging, unopened and in an unused resalable condition. In this case we will refund the purchase price, but not the delivery charges.

To return the items (whether in warranty or not; for a repair or a replacement), send them back with the Return Form , filled with the order number, the invoice number and the reason for the return to:

For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service.

All returned goods will be examined upon receipt. We will process your return as quickly as possible and will notify you by e-mail once your refund or replacement has been processed. During busy periods, please allow a maximum of 30 working days for your refund, replacement or exchange to be processed.
Your payment for the goods will be refunded by Nice SpA as soon as possible by the original payment method, no later than 30 working days after we have received the goods.

Nice SpA will not be responsible for not fulfilling any contract when the reason is unforeseen external circumstances, particularly in the case of a partial or total strike by postal services, couriers, and catastrophes caused by floods or fires. With regard to products purchased to meet professional needs, Nice SpA will not be responsible for any indirect damage relating to the contract, loss of use, loss of profit, or damages or costs arising. Moreover Nice SpA should not liable for neither fraud nor fraudulent misrepresentation on the part of its employees and/or agents. We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage in transit, such as damage caused by manhole covers, gullies, culverts, bridges, stopcocks and the like whether visible or not, unless the attention of the driver was previously specially directed thereto and it was reasonably possible to avoid such damage.
You are solely liable for the choice and the purchase of a product or service. The partial or total inability to use the products, in particular because of incompatible materials, will not lead to any compensation, reimbursement or responsibility on the part of Nice SpA, except in the case of a verified fault, non-conformity, defect or the exercise of the right to cancel the contract as provided for in “Returns & Cancellations”.

If all or part of an order is not delivered, you have has a maximum of 6 months (counting from the moment at which the package leaves our warehouse) to notify Nice SpA. After that time, Nice SpA will not accept any claims.
If any of these terms shall become or be declared illegal, invalid or unenforceable for any reason whatsoever such term shall be divisible from these terms and shall be deemed to be deleted from them.

Changes to these terms
These terms were stipulated on 20 September 2011. These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply to future orders.
